I do sympathise with Pardew in that he has a thread bare squad and if any one of the spine ( Kruhl, Colo, Cabeye ,Demba) is missing we struggle which was not help by the enforced absence of Cisse. However, starting the game against Swansea with one striker and two left backs, one who is right footed and other as a make shift winger we were always going to struggle particularly when you unbalance the team.

It would have been more positive to have played Shola from the start and brought him off if he was not fit enough after playing midweek. Another option would be to have played Ben Arfa up front alongside Demba, it worked last season to accomodate Cisse at the expense of Demba who was pushed onto the wing so this game was a perfect opportunity to accomodate both with Cisse not being involved.

Although Kruhl kept us in the game with some good saves beforehand it was his mistake which cost us the game because up to then Swansea would never have scored but neither would we playing only one striker at home !

KMD Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1689561092714256771.post-43842637871002759372012-11-19T18:07:08.253+00:002012-11-19T18:07:08.253+00:00I remember the time we got beat by a joe average C...I remember the time we got beat by a joe average Championship club in Brighton in the Cup. Do you really think Alan pardew is going to give in depth truthful explanations to journalists why players are playing or not? Do you ever hear fergie or wenger telling the truth to the media? Why not try looking at the obvious instead of slagging Alan off the fact is we have too many suspensions and injuries to our best players even the top teams struggle to operate without there best performers. Alan got us to Europe and masterminded a comprehensive win over man u and chelsea in the process and also pulled us back from 4-0 down against arsenal the biggest deficit ever to come back from in the premiership so maybe you should get behind your team rather than splitting hairs about comments made after the match.
Yours
D LambiasAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1689561092714256771.post-57227833059864266002012-11-19T13:41:58.932+00:002012-11-19T13:41:58.932+00:00Just a thought on Newcastle's inexperince vers...Just a thought on Newcastle's inexperince versus the Swans.
